Improving Strategic Decisions in Sequential Games by Exploiting Positional Similarity

چکیده
We study the strategic similarity of game positions in two-player extensive games perfect information by looking at structure their local trees, with aim improving performance game-playing agents detecting forcing continuations. present a range measures over induced trees and compare them against benchmark problems chess, observing promising level accuracy matching up trap states. Our results can be applied to chess-like interactions where moves play role, such as those arising bargaining negotiation.

Improving Word Alignment by Exploiting Adapted Word Similarity
This paper presents a method to improve a word alignment model in a phrase-based Statistical Machine Translation system for a lowresourced language using a string similarity approach. Our method captures similar words that can be seen as semi-monolingual across languages, such as numbers, named entities, and adapted/loan words. We use several string similarity metrics to measure the monolingual...
متن کاملImproving Raw Image Storage Efficiency by Exploiting Similarity
To improve the temporal and spatial storage efficiency, researchers have intensively studied various techniques, including compression and deduplication. Through our evaluation, we find that methods such as photo tags or local features help to identify the content-based similarity between raw images. The images can then be compressed more efficiently to get better storage space savings. Further...
متن کاملTraining Of Strategic Decisions In Collaborative Networks Through Serious Games
Serious gaming is an upcoming approach for supporting training activities. Since games have been identified as an opportunity to increase familiarity of the player with any artifacts, they can also be used to mediate experience in management and strategic decision making. In combination with the current trend towards networked games, teaching of strategic decisions in collaborative network envi...
متن کاملSequential moves and Comparative Statics in Strategic Market Games
Strategic market games model strategic exchange economies as noncooperative simultaneous moves games. A recent paper by Bloch and Ghosal (J. Econ. Theory, 74 (1997), 368{384.) has shown that strategic market games might exhibit a rather counterintuitive comparative statics property: an increase in the number of traders on the own side of the market might increase the equilibrium utility for any...
